My lady loves to swing
a size perspective...my tiny girl! |
GRANDMA IS HERE!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!
It took Jane a few weeks to get used to the swings again. Although curious about the swings, Jane refused to even sit in one until a couple of days ago. She is really a cautious young lady! After she worked up the courage to sit in the swing and get a push, Jane was full of squeals!! Here are some photos from today.

This past week in pictures
Thanks for the finger paints Aunt Katie! She did not like getting her hands full of paint (see the face). Jane was happy that Aunt Katie also sent paintbrushes!
And the masterpiece (yep, we are framing this one!):
A close up of the adorable little hand print
More first birthday photo fun
Jane does this REALLY annoying high-pitched screech when she is frustrated.
Here is the high-pitched screech face.
Jane is outside the office door calling for "Daaa".
Dad was at work :(
An after-bath Mohawk. Why the close up? It didn't show up otherwise.
Jane just doesn't have enough hair...
So long gdiapers, hello Grovia. Still cloth but gdiapers were causing our little
walker some trouble, so we switched brands.
Jane got new shoes.
Poor Janers took a trip to the injection room for THREE shots.
It was AWFUL. Erik is coming with next time.

Video: Jane Dances
We got this train set on clearance at Toys R Us. We wanted to make sure everything worked. Jane loved dancing to the music! So cute!

The cake smash that wasn't
Let's try again with a single piece of cake...
I made this DELICIOUS vanilla cake with strawberry whipped cream frosting for a first birthday cake smash. Jane would not even taste it. SO MY MUCH FOR THE ADORABLE CAKE SMASH PHOTOS! I took several bites myself to show Jane how tasty it was, to which Jane said, "YUK!" After the cake smash, we had tofu yakisoba for lunch. Jane ate the broccoli, then asked for celery. I wish I had Jane's tastes!
