happy 3 months

Where does the time go?  Our little man is 3 months old today.  He is so super social--he loves to coo, chat, and smile.  Solly likes playing on the floor, spending time outside, hanging out in the baby carrier, and looking at his toys.  Solly is a super sleeper--he naps in his crib and spends part of the night in his crib, too.  He'd probably sleep there all night, but it's just easier to bring him into bed with me when he wakes up to eat.  Solly had some super tummy troubles this past month (blood in stool and MAJOR spit ups...as in, does he even keep anything down!?!).  Turns out he's allergic to dairy.  Sadly, this means no more cheese or ice cream for me...it's been rough for me but so much better for our little boy.  He still spits up but not nearly as often or as much and he is much less fussy (especially at night).  Happy 3 months old Solomon!

12 weeks

I love his chubby cheeks so much!

Solly doesn't like wearing hats and was clearly a little annoyed when the hat joined the photo shoot...

my two babies

Solly was sitting up in bed this morning and Jane came and cuddled up to him all on her own.  She can be so sweet.  I need to remember this when she's being a 2 year old rascal...

Bumbo comparison (11 weeks)

Jane and Solly looked so similar as newborns.  I still think Solly looks so much like Jane, especially when he sleeps and makes certain expressions.  But they are really starting to look different.  Here are Jane and Solly in the Bumbo at 11 weeks.  Look at how chubby Solly looks when compared to Jane.

Solly in pajamams

Jane fell asleep early and Solly got new pajamas, creating the perfect opportunity for a little photo shoot with Mom.  You can see that it was exhausting, as he quickly went from smiles to sleepy.

2 year stats

Jane was not as tough during her shots.  She screamed when her leg was being swabbed off before she even knew what was coming...then screamed the ENTIRE doctor visit.  Later that day, Solly was crying.  I told her his legs were sore from his three shots.  She did NOT want me to talk about shots!  Jane weighs 23 pounds, 4 ounces (8th percentile) and is 2 feet, 11 inches (75th percentile).  Her pediatrician is still worried about her speech (so are we) and also her social skill (we are not so worried about this).

2 month stats

Solly had his 2 month well baby check yesterday.  He was a tough boy during his shots but fussy the rest of the day.  Solly is so chubby compared to our little Janers.  He weighed in at 12 pounds, 7 ounces (50th percentile)  and is 23 inches long (72nd percentile).

Solly, please don't lick your sister.

A few days ago Jane was holding Solly's face and telling him that he is so 'little little little'.  He was grunting and squirming around in defense and also stuck out his tongue.  In doing so he licked Jane.  Jane thought that was the FUNNIEST thing.  Ever since then Solly has a real problem keeping his tongue to himself --he licks Jane several times per day.

And here's how he licks her.
Jane sticks her finger in his mouth and then exclaims that Solly licked her!

Here she is so delighted that Solly licked her!

Jane woke up with a cold this morning.  Many times today I warned Solly, "Solly, please don't lick Jane's fingers today.  She has a sick nose.  You don't want to get her sick nose."  I reminded Jane, "Jane, don't let Solly lick you today.  You have a sick nose."  And Solly did a great job keeping his tongue away from Jane's fingers.  He showed real restraint today!

Here are some sweet photos of Jane with Solly.  She is a loving big sister!
