The outdoor room

Our new house an outdoor room off the dining room and main living area (one of my favorite features of the house). It is a beautiful room and perfect for Seattle weather!  We used it for the first time yesterday.  We turned the fireplace on, spread out a picnic blanket Solly got as a baby present (thanks Melinda and Katie!), and filled a container with rice--the perfect messy activity for an outdoor room!

Jane LOVED it!  I'm trying to do more sensory activities with her because they get her talking (and she has a great time!).
"HUH!?!"  We hid some plastic animals in the rice and Jane had to dig to find them.
Solomon was unimpressed with the activity...
...and soon fell asleep.  Jane said Solly can play rice when he's bigger.

Janers jumps and climbs

Jane is such a little monkey.  We were tired of nagging at her to stop jumping and climbing on things she wasn't supposed to...so we bought her a couple of things that she can jump and climb on.  She loves them!  She is still such a crazy and daring girl...and a little clumsy...bad combination.  We are just waiting for the day that we have to take her in to get stitches or a cast...

"Ta Da!" says Jane as she climbs to the top of the slide.  (anything to get her talking!)

Solly's monthly pic (1 month)

Jane was awake during this photo session and had to get in on the action, too!  She is so big!

Photos from earlier in they day.  The lighting was all wrong, but the pictures were just so cute, I had to include them!

Solomon is 1 month old today.  He's such a laid back guy!!  Solomon's favorite thing is to be carried around in a baby carrier.  He also really likes to suck on his pacifier and sleep.

A photo story

Little Solly naps on the couch

Here comes Jane with her mischievous pointed finger

A hug

A kiss

A pat

A nose pinch

A yawn..."What's a guy have to do to get some sleep around here?!?"

More hugs

She gaaaahhh (got) his finger

And he's had enough...

Then she asks to hold him

...and pinches his nose.

I'm so happy Jane loves Solly so much!!!  She is so interested in him and always wants him around!  She tells me to "gaaaahhhhmmmm" (get him) whenever he's not in the room with us.  And I'm so happy that Solly tolerates Jane's pokes and requests so well, my laid back boy!

photos from the past few days

Solomon was put down for a moment and is not happy about it!!  Lately, my little guy is only happy in the baby carrier.

love this girl and her curls!

Solly gets SO many (unprompted) kisses throughout the day

Solly slept in his swing for 20 min (surprisingly) so that I could make some art with my
lady.  I miss having just Jane and Mommy time!

Mama with her two babies.  Solly is tucked away in the carrier, the only place he's
content these days.  Loving the snuggles!

this guy is so big!  he's definitely not a little nut like Jane.

Jane gave Solly some of her toy flowers.

cutest thing ever!

Daddy reads to his two babies

so alert! especially in the evenings

23 months and 3 weeks

Jane is 23 month old today.  I cannot believe we've had her for almost 2 years!  Love this sweet lady!
And Solly...Solly is 3 weeks old today.  This boy is growing too quickly.  We won't be having another baby for a few years, so I need the growing to slow down a bit!  Notice our new blinds in the background of the picture.  We got them for all the upstairs windows and we love how they turned out!  We're ordering the same blinds for downstairs this weekend.

Today I finally felt like I had my old pre-Solly Jane back.  I love that we are finally starting to fall back into a routine.  Can't wait to have more fun days with you, Janers!

Hello little man.  I know you don't like baths.  Thank you for not screaming at Mommy.  You're such a calm guy!

Solly hangs out while Jane finishes her bath

The last few days Solly does this whenever he is set down.  I love to snuggle, so of course I do not mind holding him all day!

My little artist and I have been logging a lot of hours at her easel.  She loves to create, tell stories, and make a mess.
