Trick or Treat

It had been raining hard all day long, but the rain finally let up around 4:00!  It's a good thing, too, because we'd been telling Jane that we were going to go trick-or-treating after dinner.  As soon as she was done eating, Jane was ready to go!  She brought us her little elephant costume and kept signing candy.  Jane was SO ADORABLE trick or treating!!  Most of the people let her pick her own candy from a bowl, which of course Jane LOVED.  One lady put candy in Jane's pumpkin.  Jane told her no, that she would put the candy in, then took the piece out and put it in herself!  She wanted to do more and more and more houses.  It was pretty dead outside, so people were giving out several pieces of candy. Jane ended up with quite the haul.  She LOVED trick or treating.  I'm sure we'll  be telling the story for many months to come.

Harvest Festival

We took Jane to the Harvest Festival in West Seattle.  Local vendors offered trick-or-treating, crafts and activities for kids, and a farmers' market.  Jane was so adorable trotting around in her elephant costume.

This should really be a video--that little tail swinging as Jane walked down the street.

plenty of arts and crafts for our little lady! (Jane was on the West Seattle Blog--see it here)

Jane has been talking about this dog all afternoon.  Mommy gave the dog a high five and Jane waved to the dog.  Good story!

Jane was by far the most adorable baby there!!!

Grandma comes to Seattle

It was so fun having Grandma stay with us for a few days!  I was so bad about taking pictures, as I have been lately.  We took Grandma to the zoo, Lincoln Park, and the new house.  Grandma and Jane also spent  lots of time making art, reading books, and feeding the dog pretend food.  Erik and I even went on a date to Target (romantic, I know!).  We can't wait to see Grandma again in December!

trick-or-treating at the zoo

We took Janers to a Halloween event at the zoo.  She was so ADORABLE trotting around the zoo dressed like an elephant.  We have a few more Halloween events coming up (and most likely a costume photo shoot with Mom at Lincoln Park), so expect to see more costume photos!  Love this sweet little elephant!

We weren't sure if Jane would actually wear her costume.  She got
used to the idea!

Our little elephant with the big elephant

We met Erik's coworker's family at the zoo.  Two girls dressed as zoo animals was double the cute!  This monkey LOVED Jane.  He kept swinging over to Jane and watching her.

Jane is signing candy.  She totally understands what trick-or-treating
is and cannot wait to do it again!

Halloween Haunted House

Lots of Halloween posts lately...what can I say, we like the holidays!  And Jane likes all the new experiences.  It took us awhile to convince Jane to put any candy ON the house.  We showed her how and encouraged her to do so also, but just shook her head no while adding another piece of candy to her mouth!
